Certification

Rope Works Inc. is accredited by the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) to offer Practitioner Certification Level 1, Level 2, and Challenge Course Manager. Rope Works is a certifying body and Rope Works, not the ACCT, offer the desired level of certification for you and your staff. The ACCT does not issue practitioner certification for the specified levels.

Certification refers to the confirmation of certain characteristics of an object, person, or organization. In this case, the review & assessment of facilitation and/or technical skill sets of practitioners operating a challenge course program or canopy/zip line tour facility.

Who should be certified? ~ The decision for this should be placed on multiple criteria:

  • Your experience operating challenge course programs or zip line tours
  • The type of organization you are and what similar organizations have considered
  • Local and/or state regulatory agencies
  • Insurance company requirements
It is ultimately a choice that should be made by you and can be discussed with your challenge course provider. The intent of Practitioner Certification is for the competencies outlined in the ANSI/ACCT Operations Standards to be present during the operations/provisions of all challenge course programming and canopy/zip line tours. An individual or team of individuals may possess these competencies.
